RETIREES
One of DC 1707’s most active committees consists of members who have retired from the workplace but retain an interest in the union and its activities. Retirees hold regularly scheduled meetings at the union headquarters. The meetings frequently feature guest speaks on a wide range of topics. The local also is mindful to include social and recreational programs among its activities. The retirees also make valuable contributions to electoral and legislative campaigns. Juanita Steele serves as the president of this committee.
