DC 1707 is proud to announce the changes to our Affordable Housing Program for 2008. We have added additional Lenders to join our efforts in the hopes that we can offer Mortgage Purchase and Refinancing Services to our diverse membership. We are proud to be partnered with Wachovia, Chase Countrywide, GMAC Mortgage, Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA), and Bank of America.

DC 1707 is dedicated to protect our membership from predatory lending practices and we are committed to helping you attain the dream of homeownership. We feel that education is a vital part of the home buying process and we are going to offer a number of services that will include:

  • Free Homeownership Education
  • Free Debt, Budget and Credit Counseling
  • Free Pre-Approval and Affordability Analysis
  • Access to Union-Endorsed Mortgage Programs
  • Option of Low-Cost Credit Consulting
  • 6% Closing Cost Grant Assistant

DC 1707 will also be establishing an in House Home Ownership Center where you will be able to schedule appointments with an Approved Lender. Lenders will have a set schedule where you can schedule an appointment to discuss your financing options. Saturday Appointments will also be available upon request.
